Preparation for racing career

Preparation for motorsport for drivers, ranging from amateur level (e.g., time attack events and track days) to professional car racing, including driving skills, strategy, and race tactics.

Do you dream of starting your motorsport journey? Do you need professional coaching for the races you're currently participating in? I'm happy to help you with that!

I will guide every driver through the stages of their career, step by step, and comprehensively from A to Z.

No matter what your motorsport aspirations are – whether you want to start from an amateur level and enjoy track days, or step by step advance through national and international championships – I will help you achieve the highest success.

What does motorsport preparation look like, described "in a nutshell"?

Below is an example of a simplified scheme showing the first stages of becoming a racing driver.

Only during the process, the plan significantly expands in every area.

The order listed below is just an example – it’s up to you which path you choose.

1. Defining the goal and budget.

The foundation is setting long-term goals, starting with small steps – so that initially impossible challenges meet the S.M.A.R.T. criteria. By defining the goal, we set our development direction as a driver, whether we want to race only in Poland or abroad, what types of cars to focus on, and what should be interesting for us. Some will prefer to become experts in track-day driving, others may want to compete in national racing, while others may opt for GT cars, etc.

At this stage, it’s also important to define the budget, which, needless to say, is crucial in motorsport.

2. Initial Preparation

Through initial preparation, we conduct training on both regular and sports cars, utilizing simracing and advanced simulations to ensure the best adaptation to the new environment and the challenge of the designated racing series and car category. It’s important to prepare in advance to eliminate errors and bad habits that could negatively affect your performance in actual competition.

3. First test days & track days

At this stage, we gain practice and experience with the specific car model we’re interested in, having already mastered at least the basics. We make use of time in the target car and on the target tracks to gather as much data and feedback as possible for further preparation.

4. Getting your licenses

In the course of racing, it’s necessary to obtain the appropriate qualifications, such as a racing license, as well as undergo the required medical and psychological examinations. Additionally, there may be optional permissions or internal requirements set by the organizers of specific series (e.g., licenses for racing on the Nurburgring Nordschleife).

5. Starting in competitions

After completing all the preparations and finalizing the formalities, it’s time to race! Here, we perform a very similar job to what we did during training, but now under the pressure of competition and following the strict schedule of the season and the entire race weekend. There’s less room for errors, but we fight for the result we set earlier.

6. Season Summary and Future Plan Development

We finish the entire racing season by preparing a summary of achievements and everything we’ve accomplished so far. This allows us to set new goals for the next racing season, such as beating a specific lap time, upgrading to a new car, or moving to a different racing series.

Who has trusted me and worked with me so far?

Meet examples and stories of a few drivers among many of my mentees, with whom I’ve worked or still work on various tracks across Europe.

Michał Walczak-Makowiecki - Super S Cup & RCN/NLS (Nordschleife)

Polish Endurance Champion in his debut season in circuit racing (2021), multiple podium finisher in Super S Cup sprints (2021, 2022), multiple podium finisher in ARC Endurance events (2021, 2022), and in RCN Nordschleife.

Współpraca od 2021 roku

The result of our collaboration was, among other things, the Polish Championship in the debut season and soon after, the Vice Championship in the RCN series on the Nordschleife.

Szymon Piotrowski - WSMP (DN1) & SIMRACING (ASSETTO CORSA)

Vice Champion of Poland 2022 in the debut season of WSMP in the DN1 class (Kia Picanto), 2nd place in WSMP 2023 in the DN1 class. One of the top simracers in Poland in Assetto Corsa.

Jeden z najzdolniejszych kierowców młodego pokolenia

Szymon has undeniable talent, which he first proved by dominating the rankings at the Poznań SIM-CENTER, where he had no equal. Despite this, he still trained extensively under my guidance in simracing before taking his first steps in the post-cup Kia Picanto in the Polish Championship, where he continued to refine his skills under my watchful eye.

Kacper Osek - WSMP & Swift Cup Europe

Polish Racing Champion in his first-ever racing season (2021) in Toyota Racing Cup, and Swift Cup Europe 2022 runner-up.

Współpraca w sezonach 2021-2022

As part of his debut, Kacper decided to join the Toyota Racing Cup, and then moved on to the Swift Cup Europe. We trained on tracks such as Hungaroring, Red Bull Ring, Salzburgring, and Slovakiaring.

Multiple-time winner and podium finisher in time-attack events, including series such as Hot Hatch Cup, Track Masters, Race Cup, and many others.

From sim-to-real racing

From the very beginning of his motorsport journey, Darek trained under my guidance in individual sessions. Later, we continued our collaboration during events from the most popular series in Poland.

Tomasz Urbański - WSMP, Super S Cup Sprint & Endurance

Vice-champion of the Super S Cup Endurance 2024, held as part of the Polish Endurance Racing Championship.

"Od Zera do Bohatera"

An extremely diligent athlete who is proof that hard work can lead to significant achievements. In his debut season (before our collaboration), Tomek was at the very back of the field. However, in his second season and the first season of our collaboration, he put in a lot of solid work. This resulted in developing a very solid and, most importantly, competitive pace for the one-make cup.

The above-mentioned examples of drivers are just a few among many. To confirm this, I invite you to check out publicly available reviews about the sessions with me.
